Brief Diet Pill Review

Nuphedrine claims to be the only diet pill out there that contains “real certified” South African Hoodia (cactus plant) and the patented Advantra-Z. Hoodia is reportedly an effective appetite suppressant. They claim that most diet products that supposedly contain hoodia are fake. However, with Nuphedrine, you get a certificate of authenticity to “prove” that theirs is real. We’re not exactly sure who certified it, or how the certificate actually means anything at all. Nuphedrine is not approved by the FDA.

Basically, the goal of Nuphedrine is to suppress your appetite. It is recommended that you take 3 pills a day. Take the first 2 in the morning on an empty stomach, and then another in the middle of the day to get you through the evening.

Nuphedrine Ingredients

It is clearly obvious that the manufacturers of Nuphedrine are very excited about South African Hoodia. Hoodia contains the compound P57. This is supposed to make you feel full. However, only pure hoodia actually contains this compound, which is why Nuphedrine maintains their “authenticity.” Unfortunately, this ingredient has never been proven to actually suppress hunger. Besides that, African Hoodia gordonii plants are currently an endangered species and therefore should not be used for anything at all!

Another ingredient in Nuphedrine—Advantra-Z—is a patented form of synephrine or citrus aurantium. Synephrine is a similar chemical to ephedra. Ephedra is commonly replaced with synephrine in many diet products because of its claim to have all the fat-burning proponents without all the negative side effects, such as jitters, sleeplessness, high blood pressure, and elevated heart rate.

A third ingredient in Nuphedrine is called Slimaluma. This is an extract of the edible Indian plant, Caralluma Fimbriata. This ingredient sends a message to your brain telling it that you are full. Therefore, you can eat very little food and still feel satisfied.

Lack of Clinical Evidence

Unfortunately, all these ingredients have had very few studies done that prove that any of them are very effective at all. Results have been very minimal and certainly not to the extent that Nuphedrine manufacturers suggest.

Side Effects of Nuphedrine

Nuphedrine claims not to have any side effects at all. It supposedly does not contain any stimulants such as caffeine. However, not only does Nuphedrine suppress your appetite, but it can also reduce your thirst resulting in possible dehydration. Even though Advantra-Z supposedly does not contain the negative side effects of its close relative, ephedra (which is actually illegal in the U.S.), studies have shown that it too can elevate your blood pressure and heart rate.

The Bottom Line

Unfortunately, any time you are depriving your body and mind of needed minerals, vitamins, and overall nutrition, you are not doing yourself any favors. You may lose a little weight from less eating, but at what cost? Once you stop taking the pills, you will simply resume your old way of eating and the weight will come back. Or are you willing to spend $75 a month for the rest of your life, where you may or may not see results? The bottom line is this: everyone is looking for an easy way out—a simple way to lose weight without implementing a healthy diet and daily exercise. Unfortunately, we don’t think Nuphedrine weight loss pill is your answer.
